How To Plan A Birthday Party For Your Child

If you are a busy mom, organizing a party can be fun but tiring!  To make sure you give your child the best party, we’ve come up with a timeline and checklist to guide you in your party planning.  This is to help you organize the things you have to do, from the biggest to the most minute details.

TWELVE WEEKS BEFORE YOUR PARTY DATE

 

Prepare your budget and determine the number of persons you wish to invite.   Make a list of things you need like venue, entertainment, food, décor and loot bags.  Put an estimated amount you may spend on each.

Look for a party venue.  Consider where your guests would be coming from.

EIGHT WEEKS BEFORE YOUR PARTY DATE

Choose a party theme.  Ask your child for ideas if he can already understand party themes.

Book your entertainers and side activities.

Design your invitation (remember to include an RSVP number), choose your party venue, decorations, and souvenir.

Make a down payment.

FOUR WEEKS BEFORE YOUR PARTY DATE

Order Food and Cake.

Send out party invitations.   The earliest time you can send out your invites is one month before your party while the latest is two weeks before.

 Pay your suppliers in full. 

TWO WEEKS BEFORE YOUR PARTY

Finalize program with your host.

Buy your prizes, loot or party décor, if applicable.  Always go for items that are of good quality when shopping for party supplies. 

Souvenier

Update your guest list and adjust your food order if necessary.  Take note of Ingress/Egress times.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR PARTY

Check if all ordered items are in the venue, coordinate the program with your host and have a blast with your guests!  Go around, greet your guests and enjoy your child’s birthday party.

Top 5 Kiddie Party Trends (as of February 2015)

Kiddie parties also have trends, just like clothes, shoes and bags do. Since last year, we’ve noticed that the trend is shifting from modern to vintage and handcrafted. Hence, we’re coming out with this list, our top 5 trends, to update and guide parents who are planning a birthday bash for their li’l ones.

1. Crafted Animal Balloons. Use your imagination to spice up your balloons! And we are not talking about balloon twisting, Mylar or sculpture, but characters that you can create by drawing body parts on a piece of paper, cutting and sticking those parts on your balloons. The rawness will make it unique and full of love!

2. Handcrafted Table Centerpieces. Why we love this? Handcrafted table centerpieces can work with or without balloons. You can also get creative and use them as containers for candies or any munchies for your guests while waiting for the program to start.

3. Fondant Birthday Cake. Gone are the days when we only enjoy Fondant Cakes during weddings and debuts. A number of parents now opt to have Fondant on their cake table because it “provides a greater range for decoration. With fondant, it is possible to attain a more refined and precise creation” (source: http://www.heatherbarranco.com).

4. Giant 3D Letters. The star of any birthday party is the birthday celebrator. Guests will definitely remember his name and his party.

5. Food Carts. While we grew up with the old fashioned Cotton Candy, Ice Cream and Pop Corn carts, more and more food and beverage are being served and presented in children’s parties on a food cart. Even our well-loved street food Taho and Fish Balls are now part of the growing list.

1.  WE HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED Talking to different suppliers add up to the hectic planning process of a party.  We are a one-stop party shop.  We have everything you need aside from food.  We can book a great host and magician for you, decorate your room and customize your invitation.  And if we don’t have what you are looking for, we can try and help you find it.

2.  KIDDIE THEMED AMBIENCE  What better place to hold your child’s birthday party than at Fun Ranch, with its kid-friendly attractions like rides and indoor playgrounds?  One look and you know it’s for kids.  Do keep in mind that it’s a child’s birthday party. Overview

3.  NO ENTRANCE FEE/ NO ROOM RENTAL FEE Food is a must in any party.  We want you to focus on what food to serve your guests and what you think they like.  We will only charge you for your food order and not for entry nor for the use of the room. 4

4.  THEMED FUNCTION ROOMS A fun looking room adds up to the excitement of guests.  Our all-time favorite themed rooms like barnyard, aquatic and sports give you the vibe you want for a fun and great celebration. We also have several themed backdrops and party decors.

6.  PRIVACY We know that you are sometimes obliged to do fun things during a party like singing or dancing.  That’s normal.  However, it’s embarrassing when there are unfamiliar diners watching while you bring out the child in you.  With this in mind, we let you exclusively use our function room so you can be what you want to be in the presence of your closest loved ones.

7.  YOU WILL NOT RUN OUT OF FOOD It’s hard to estimate the number of guests who will show up.  To rely on RSVP’s is an option but not reliable enough.  The best thing about an on-site kitchen is that your guests will never get hungry should more people than expected show up.  We always have more than enough stock of the usual kiddie party food. 8.  THE BEST ENTERTAINMENT We’ve partnered with professional Magicians to entertain all your party guests.  And we mean ALL.  If invisibility cloaks do not appeal to you, an interactive Bubble or a jaw dropping Acrobat show will do the trick.  We have a long list of entertainers and continue to discover new talents.

9.  SECURITY You can entertain your guests with confidence because CCTV cameras are installed in every room while security personnel are posted at the door.  While in the thick of things, color-coded stickers can also help you identify invited guests.

10.  THE FUN NEVER ENDS! The end of your program is not an ending to a Fun Ranch celebration.  The party continues with our rides, indoor playgrounds and other activities for everyone’s enjoyment.  Outside is a one huge playground for kids!
